Workplace abuse is awful, no matter what you call it. The target is fighting an invisible battle of everyday of their existence. Many, including my self would equate it to an emotional rape. It violates every sense of your being and crushes your spirit. It is the ultimate workplace betrayal.
The mob is senseless, so don't even try and make sense of it. What I find truly ironic is that the foundation of our society (christianity) was founded on looking out for your fellow man, and was brought to the attention of the world when the greatest man that ever lived was crucified by a mob. Nearly 2000 years after the death of Jesus Christ, people really haven't learned much...
If you check the links page, there are several good web sites and articles that guided me through my own personal experience.
I am not a psychologist, but have learned about mobbing the hard way. As a target who made it to stage 5 in the mobbing process, I have lots of great insights. If you are or have been affected by a hostile work environment, it is natural to feel the way you do. It is very easy to feel alone, and cut off from everyone. If you don't take control of your life now, it will only get worse. If there is anyway I can help you form a plan of action or help you understand what happened to you, please feel free to write me at: NS_Mobbing@yahoo.ca
